Mr Pisani is the founder of the Corinthia Group and has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since the inception of Corinthia in 1962. He was responsible for the construction of the Group’s first hotel, the Corinthia Palace in Attard. He has led the Corinthia Group from a one hotel company to a diversified group having significant interests in Malta and overseas. Such interests vary from equity participations, management or both in several geographical areas and include interests in five hotels in Malta, five hotels in Turkey, two hotels in Budapest, nine hotels in the Czech Republic, two hotels in Portugal and one each in Libya, The Russian Federation, United Kingdom and Tunisia. Mr Pisani is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of International Hotel Investments p.l.c., a Maltese listed company forming part of the Corinthia Group.
Mr Wahedi is the chief executive officer of NREC Capital, a division of the National Real Estate Company (NREC) headquartered in Kuwait. He is responsible for the Group’s asset management initiatives.
Prior to joining NREC, Mr Wahedi was the Managing Director of the Real Estate Division at Boubyan Capital where he assembled a $ 100 million diversified portfolio of income generating properties in Kuwait and launched a highly successful $50 million REIT. Prior to Boubyan Capital, Mr Wahedi was a Corporate Development Manager at Agility where he was involved with executing several mergers & acquisitions.
Mr Wahedi holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a BSc in Civil Engineering, BSc in Electrical & Computer Engineering, and a BSc in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University.
Joseph M. Pisani, is a founder member and director of the main board of Corinthia Palace Hotel Company Limited (CPHCL) as from 1962, and has served on a number of boards of subsidiary companies. From 2000 to 2014 he has served as Chairman of the Monitoring Committee of CPHCL and IHI.

Ms Oubala, a dynamic leader with over 20 years of experience in retail, real estate, investments and strategy, recently joined MIH as a Board Member. Previously instrumental in the transformation and expansion of The Sultan Group as its CEO, she drove significant restructuring initiatives. Prior to her tenure at The Sultan Center Group, she held impactful roles at NREC as VP of Strategy and Investments, at Arcapita Bank as Principal, and at Assiya Investments as Portfolio Manager. Ms. Oubala’s educational credentials include an MSc in Real Estate Development from MIT and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. A Fulbright scholar and MIT Memorial Fellowship recipient, she is also a distinguished member of the Young Presidents Organization, bringing a wealth of expertise and insight to MIH’s board.
Mr Alfred Camilleri, BA (Hons) Public Administration, M.Sc (Economics) has a long and varied career in statistics and in national and international financial, budgetary and economic affairs. He was active in national and European economic and financial policy circles. Additionally, he is a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta.
Mr Yousri Helmy is an accomplished executive with an outstanding track record in spearheading transformational programs including debt restructuring, organisational streamlining and digital implementation, delivering cost efficiencies and driving shareholders’ value. He has ventured into major business acquisitions with proven abilities in business modelling and analysis.
Mr Yousri Helmy is the current group CFO of National Real Estate Company (NREC), a Kuwait based publicly listed real estate and investment company, with a presence in the Middle East and North Africa.
Prior to joining NREC, Mr Yousri Helmy was the CEO of Invest Group and CFO at the Sultan Centre Group where he played an integral part in the continual growth and success of the group, driving operational, commercial and financial activities.
Mr Yousri Helmi holds an MBA from American University of Beirut in Lebanon and is a certified public accountant registered with the California Board of Accountancy.
Mario P. Galea was the founder, Managing Partner and Chairman of Ernst & Young Malta until he retired in 2012. Currently he serves as on a number of boards of directors, finance committees and audit committees in various positions.
Mr Galea is a certified public accountant and auditor, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants.
He has served as President of the Malta Institute of Accountants and held various other positions in the Institute, Federation des Comptables Européens (FEE) and the Accountancy Board, which is the regulator of the accountancy profession in Malta.
Ms Ellul joined the Corinthia Group in 2006, and since then has occupied a number of senior positions as well as several company secretarial roles of Corinthia Group subsidiaries.
Mr Xuereb joined the Corinthia Group in January 2005 in a senior executive role, and has since been actively involved in introducing investors to the Corinthia Group. Having worked in the Middle East with one of the largest finance houses and investment groups based in Bahrain, he has specialised in real estate investment structures and is responsible for corporate strategy and business development of MIH. Mr Xuereb is the Chairman of Palm City Residences and Managing Director of Medina Tower Joint Stock Company.
Ms Stilon graduated B.A. (Hons) Accountancy from the University of Malta in 1996. She worked for Price Waterhouse before joining the internal audit department of Corinthia Group in 1998. In 2000 she moved into corporate finance as financial controller of CPHCL. Since then, she has held various corporate finance related positions and is currently also the financial controller of Corinthia Finance p.l.c.. Ms Stilon holds a Certified Public Accountant and Auditor warrant, is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants and serves as a Director on the board of Federated Mills p.l.c..
